Its time for the MECHANICS to take over the industry. The dealerships are about to receive the karma it sent out. Now they are trying to sell people car repair insurance. Its alm thievery. I didn't realize how abusive they were to their technicians. Its disgusting. As a customer, i would rather pay a mechanic what they are worth for a job well done than to screw them over.

The mechanics need to take over the industry. Auto dealerships are undermining everyone. We still have older cars that need repairs, and the parts also. Their must be a solution.

there was even more flat tappet small block chevys produced. I swear that there's more obs chevy trucks on my towns' roads than there is 2020-present day chevys. I do currently run Rotella T5 15-40 in my daily (1990 c1500), but I have ran GTX conventional and mobil1 synthetic some. I still put 70 miles a day on this truck. Approximately 900,000 miles to date. On my second engine and my second transmission. Original motor went to 750,000 miles and still ran, but just burned too much oil. Flat tappets are very robust.

Years ago, I had a 1986 Mustang GT hatchback 5.0 auto, 3.27 gears. Only mods were a shift kit, under bumper ram air, 13-degree timing, an MSD coil and 6A box with the plug in wire set up. At the track, it would go consistent 14.90 to 15.0 at 87 to 89 mph with 2.10 60-foot times. One time, I decided to unplug the MSD to see how much slower the car would go. Next pass, 2.07 60-foot time, 14.89 at 89.77 mph. That being said, hot ignitions are good for high power engines. More stock engines, not so much.

Not everyone is independently wealthy, most mechanics are in it for the money, doesn't make them a bad person, just means they have bills to pay, rent to make, they're probably a father putting food on the table for their kids. In fact you could make a good argument that amateur mechanics doing the work for free are taking the crust away from a needy family.

It would be a dream of mine to own one, I put in for a restro mod 68 via raffle but like always I don't win shit🤷 hopefully maybe one day, it don't even have to be in great condition Ill put the work in for it, I pray someday it will happen

This particular video made me replace the condenser in a fairly new distributor with the stock one. -solved ignition! Probably som cheap China-shait😀

A bank has never owned any of my cars(currentlyown seven)...! I've never made payments on anything...!! My house was my parents and has been paid for since the early 80s...!! No one is taking this home or my vehicles...!!!

I just saw a video today, a car kept blowing the fuel pump fuse. they pulled the fuel pump and the wires were completely burnt to a crisp and exposed and shorted. it's amazing how safe a modern fuel tank is. can have electrical wires literally burning inside the fuel tank and nothing more happens.

I just came across this. I’m a MoPar fan and have worked with GREG RAGER with various MoPar publications. I co-authored (with ED SANOW) DODGE, PLYMOUTH & CHRYSLER POLICE CARS 1956->1978 and the sequel covering 1979->1994. Couple MoPar stories: I live in Southern California. Some years back there was a speed shop in our community. The owners of the speed shop parked a Plymouth Road Runner behind the shop. One night the RR was stolen. The police was notified. Weeks later the owners of the speed shop saw their stolen RR at SPRING FLING (THE MoPar show of the West Coast). “Hello LAPD???” I’m a retired police officer. In the late 1980’s my assigned department car was a Dodge Diplomat. The Dip had a lot of miles on and it began to slip going into 3rd gear. I suggested to my bosses that a transmission service was warranted. My bosses “round-filed” my maintenance request. I went to the auto shop foreman (A Chevy guy) and related my problems. He said unless Administration okays my request, nothing could be done. A couple of weeks later, the shop foreman flagged me down asking how the transmission was holding up in my Dodge.
